Coaching Details
If you are interested in volunteering we would love to have you train our youth baseball players! We do require you to go through a few training courses to ensure that our families and our players are getting the best possible experience and feel confident that their children will be safe with the coaches on staff.
Coaches that volunteer are required to complete the following:
- Register on LBL website one of two ways.
- When registering your child, you will be asked if you would like to be a volunteer coach. You can sign up during that process or...
- Fill out the volunteer form. This is for coaches that don't have children to register. We will contact you and provide more information on how you will be assigned a team.

- Attend Recreational Baseball Coaches Meeting: Online!
- The coaches meeting will cover rules, how to schedule practices, and many nuts and bolts of the program that are important.

- T-ball & Coach Pitch @ 3pm

- Background Check:
- The LBL will provide 1-2 free background checks for head coaches.
- Coaches will be given a link with an access code(at coaches meeting). Any flags will be reviewed by the LBL staff to determine coaches eligibility.
- Coach Background Check- Click on the bottom right "Coaches and Volunteers" button to begin.
- Concussion Training:
- Coaches on staff are required to complete the free concussion training on the NFHS website. Certificate is good for 2 years.
- E-mail the certificate to director@longmontbaseball.org or drop of a copy at the LBL office(100 10th Ave Longmont)
- Positive Coaching Alliance Training(PCA) & Equipment pick up
- When: April 30th @ 6pm
- Where: Longmont Baseball League: 100 10th Ave Longmont, CO
- What: The presentation is titled "Honoring the Game"
- PCA is a great tool for coaches to help establish player relationships and give the coach and players tools to cope with the failures of baseball.
Coaching Requirments
Please complete the following below!
Concussion Course:
Must be taken every three years.
If you took the course in 2024 you can skip the class, please submit your certificate regardless.
If you took the course in 2022 please take the course and send the certificate via email.

Background Check:
Must be taken yearly!
